"But when Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.” John 11:1-6;10-16

Sometimes the Lord will allow us to go through tuff situations. In this case Christ permitted Lazarus to face death and his sisters go through great despair for their loss. Why? He could have gone earlier to prevent that from happening. But the Bible says He purposely waited to go. “…although Jesus Loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus, he stayed where he was for the next two days” (NLT) Why? Was it because Lazarus was disobedient? No, he and his sisters were faithful followers of Christ.

Christ’s faithful followers were facing this very hard trial with a purpose. Right before Jesus decides not to go to where Lazarus was, he says: “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the GLORY OF GOD so that the Son of God WILL RECEIVE GLORY FROM THIS. (Added emphasis) Not only that but later we see that Jesus told his disciples that he let this happen to strengthen their faith, “Lazarus is dead. And for your sakes, I’m glad I wasn’t there, for now you will really believe” .

Jesus did this with the purpose of Glorifying the Father and Himself threw the resurrection of Lazarus and to strengthen His disciples’ faith. We see the outcome later in the chapter that says that when Jesus entered Jerusalem people were going out to see him because they had heard what he had done for Lazarus and “many believed”. (John 12:9-11; 17-18) Amen!!! The Creator's purpose for His creation is that threw it He can glorify Himself. So, everyone can know how Good and Amazing He is. WHAT A GREAT PRIVILEGE. That the Father find us worthy of glorifying Himself in us and shines his Beauty threw us.

He cares for us and works in us, giving us exactly what we need to follow Him. There is no better time that we come closer to our Lord, then in the middle of a trial. There is no better time, where our faith can be strengthened; where we can learn to trust God, then in the middle of great despair. We can see the hand of our Lord clearer in our life in the midst of a storm. We can enjoy more of His goodness and see more clearly His grace. During those hard moments the Lord supplies: humility, faith, surrender, submission, selflessness, servitude, love For Him and others; the Lord supplies EVERYTHING WE NEED.

Hang in there, God is with you. He will not leave you for a second. He knows what He is doing. Trust him with your life. Even if we make many the Lord is faithful. Trust Him to help you persevere in your trial, at the end the Lord will use your life to glorify Himself. Isn’t that our desire as Christians? To bring Glory to the Father and The Son?
